Getting from the Airport to your accommodation

1 Bus - 1 Train
Outside the terminal, by arrivals and in the bus depot, look for the Autostradale Terravision Bus at Bus Stop 4. The bus runs every 30 minutes and will take you to Milano Centrale train station.The journey time is 50 mins and costs €16 to €18 for a return ticket, tickets are available online here or at the booth within the airport.
At Milano Centrale you can then take a direct train to Como San Giovanni, which will take about 40 minutes and cost between £8 and £16 for an anytime return, tickets are available at the station or from thetrainline.com
The full journey time is around 1hr 30 mins.
Como San Giovanni is quite central to Como centre.

1 Bus - 2 Trains
From the bus depot look for the Nr1 bus or ATB 1 bus, this will take you to Bergamo train station, at a cost of €2.50 per person which can be paid via contactless payment on the bus.The journey time should be 10-15 minutes and both buses run approximately every 30 minutes during the day.
When at Bergamo train station take the train to Milano Centrale and change there for Como San Giovanni.
Train tickets usually cost between £18 and £26 per person for an anytime return. The tickets can be bought beforehand on thetrainline.com or at the station.
The full train journey will be between 1hr 30 to 2hr, depending on the trains.
Please also check the individual train times from each station to limit waiting time at Milano Centrale.

Taxi's and Uber are both available from Bergamo Airport, prices will start from circa €200, for up to 6 people, as the journey is about 65 miles.
Private transfers are also an option, with many companies available to book in advance online.
Please be aware that whilst Uber is available from the airports, it is not readily available in the Lake Como area.
We strongly suggest pre-booking any airport transfers if you are not taking public transport or renting a car.

If you are carrying on to either Cernobbio or Laglio, from outside Como San Giovanni train station you will be able to take the C10 bus. This bus takes approximately 15 mins to Cernobbio and a further 5-7 mins for Laglio.
Also available from Como San Giovanni are taxis to Cernobbio and Laglio, the cost will vary but expect prices from €15 to Cernobbio and from €25 to Laglio. Booking in advance is highly recommended.

Car rental is available from all airports. We have previously used Alamo and Autoeurope.
Rental prices start from circa £60 per day.
The venue has limited parking so please let us know if you are driving.
Please note that the roads on the west side of the lake can be quite narrow!
Bergamo to Como town

2 Trains
Malpensa has its own train station in terminal 2 (T2). From here you can take trains stopping at Saranno, which takes around 20 minutes, and from here it is possible to change for Como Lago (Nord), which takes a further 40 minutes.Como Lago (Nord) Train Station is located in Como town centre and is the end of the line.
Train tickets usually cost between £18 and £30 for an anytime return, depending on the route taken. Tickets are available in advance from the thetrainline.com or at the station.
The full journey time is around 1 hour.

1 Bus
From terminal 2 (T2) there is a coach service run by Flixbus to Como San Giovanni train station.The coach depot can be found directly outside the terminal.
The service takes around 55 minutes, depending on traffic. It has various departure times, please check the website for the full timetable here.
Tickets need to be purchased well in advance directly from Flixbus as they can often sell-out. Prices are around €12 to €15 for a return ticket.
Como San Giovanni is central within Como town.

There are various buses that travel between the airport and Milano Centrale train station - local buses 73 and X73, as well as dedicated airport shuttles Starfly and Air Bus.The airport shuttles run every 20-30 minutes and will take you to Milano Centrale train station.
The journey time is roughly 25 mins and costs €10 to €15 for a return ticket.
Tickets are available here, or on the day within the airport.
At Milano Centrale you can then take a direct train to Como San Giovanni, which will take about 40 minutes and cost between £8 and £16 for an anytime return, tickets are available at the station or from thetrainline.com

2 Metro lines - 1 Train
The M4 metro line runs directly between Linate airport and San Babila (in Central Milan, 3km from Milano Centrale), you will then need to change lines and/or stations to reach Milano Centrale.Total metro journey time should be circa 40 minutes.
When at Milano Centrale take the train to Como San Giovanni.
